Captain Kevin Cohan

Kevin grew up on the water spending his summers on the Canadian side of the Detroit River.  He has spent over 50 years with both power and sailboats in the Michigan area.  Kevin is avid crescent racer and has sailed on many boats as crew for the Port Huron to Mackinaw for the past 20 years.  He also has worked with a delivery company to deliver boats to mackinaw every year.  Just recently getting his 100 ton USCG Captains License he is excited to pass on his knowledge.

Captain Cameron

Captain Cameron is a responsible skipper, with a kind spirit. A passionate (and patient) sailor, he gladly shares his love for the water.

A third  generation sailor, he was raised on inland lakes in Oregon. Before he could walk he was rolling around in a v-berth. In the early years he was foredeck on a 20′ Santana with his father at the helm and his father’s mentor as the pitman.

Cameron honorably served a 6-year enlistment in the U.S Coast Guard. His first tour was on the USCGC Polar Stare, embarking on trips to Antarctica and the Arctic Circle. He was also stationed in  Montauk, New York as the primary search and rescue captain on a 47′ MLB and 29′ RBS. He conducted over 30 rescues and nearly 300 boardings. He is also an experienced “captain for hire” for power-driven vessels ranging from 30-60ft.

Cameron maintains a 100-ton Merchant Mariner Credential upon Near Coastal Waters with Assistance Towing. He is one of the charter captains on SV Olokun out of Grayhaven State Harbor. He races and crews for 24’ Crescent locally.
